For Schools...
As part of the CWT Kernow Glassa project, we have recently had the privilege of designing guided activities which were successfully delivered to individual classes from several local primary schools. These included: Exploring the Functional Diversity of Rocky Shore Species, Creating and Understanding Food Chains, and Building a Bug Hotel. Typically incorporating a fun group challenge and/or competitive element, activities were designed to be associated with both National Curriculum subject areas and particular CWT nature reserves (Pendarves Wood and Upton Towans), providing the opportunity to not only learn and develop new Science/Ecology skills but also to learn about different habitats, individual reserves and how these are managed. All of the above can be adapted to different environments, including school grounds.
